Under the direction of the Dallas County Health and Human Services (DHHS), we are continuing with our commitment to you to provide up-to-date information about our efforts to protect our residents and team members against the spread of COVID-19. As of Tuesday, March 31, additional residents within our Health Center have tested positive for COVID-19.

We are currently managing ongoing COVID-19 testing at the health center. We tested a select number of Health Center residents on Monday and Tuesday and are also working closely with Dallas County Health and Human Services (DHHS) representatives to conduct contact tracing and fully comply with the health agency’s updated guidelines.

We had already instituted all the protocols recommended this week by DHHS, including:

  • Notifying all residents, families and responsible parties that residents had been diagnosed with COVID-19;
  • Requiring all of our culinary, housekeeping and concierge team members to wear personal protection equipment, including appropriate use of gloves and masks;
  • Requiring additional screenings of all essential visitors and team members, including questionnaires and temperature checks;
  • Prohibiting any team members from coming to work if they are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or other communicable disease; and
  • Maintaining regular contact and collaborating with DHHS regarding COVID-19 cases in our community.

Please continue to reach out and connect with your loved ones regularly while we continue to follow these important protocols and social distancing guidelines.

We are sending out regular communications via email, text and providing printed updates, and you are always welcome to contact us directly with questions and concerns. Please contact your Edgemere management team.

We appreciate and acknowledge how difficult this situation is for everyone involved, and we are thankful for your ongoing understanding and support during this challenging time.
