As we face the reality that COVID-19 is going to remain present within our lives for the foreseeable future, we continue to identify improvements in how we communicate active COVID-19 cases in a transparent manner while safeguarding the protected health information (PHI) of our residents and team members.
In addition to written notification alerting residents of new COVID-19 cases, this Edgemere Coronavirus webpage will contain a chart outlining active cases for team members, residents in residential living and residents in our health center (health center, assisted living and memory care programs). The chart below will be updated or reconfirmed daily.

Given the highly contagious nature of the virus and the reopening of economies, we expect to continue to have team members who may be exposed to the virus. Often this exposure occurs outside of our Edgemere community, but we have strong infection protocols in place and act quickly once a team member or resident has a known exposure, becomes positive for COVID-19 following testing, or develops symptoms associated with COVID-19.
We know all of you have changed your lives significantly to help control the spread of COVID-19. This is an important time to remind you to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing and proper hand hygiene. We also ask that you wear a mask or face covering if you are leaving your apartment home to visit the common areas where other team members and residents are present, or if you leave our campus for essential visits. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
