Dr. Frank Brancaccio is an accomplished physician specializing in Pulmonary/ Critical Care Medicine. He has practiced in the Dallas-Forth Worth area for the past 19 years, frequently recognized as one of the best pulmonologists by D Magazine. He previously served as the Pulmonary/Critical Care Director at the LTACH Baylor Specialty Hospital. Dr. Brancaccio graduated in the top quarter of his class at UT Southwestern Medical School and stayed in Dallas for his residency and fellowship.

Scherraine Edwards, our Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who has been practicing post-acute medicine in the Dallas-Forth Worth area for over five years. She completed her BSN undergraduate studies in 2009 and then worked as a bedside nurse for five years before pursuing her master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. Scherraine will be working closely with Dr. Brancaccio providing pulmonary care to our patients.

Melissa Looney, one of our Cardiology Nurse Practitioners, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who has been providing premium care as a nurse practitioner for 19 years, with three years dedicated to cardiac patients. Melissa graduated with a master’s in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Arkansas State University. Melissa will be working closely with Dr. Paladugu providing cardiac care to our patients.

Neelima Paladugu, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and electrophysiologist with multiple board certifications. A passionate doctor who provides comprehensive cardiac care, she treats patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, palpitations, syncope, and hypertension/coronary artery disease/ valvular disease. Dr. Paladugu performs evaluations using echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, ECGs, pacemakers, defibrillators, and BIV ICDs.

Jana is a board certified nurse practitioner with a strong background in solid organ transplant and advanced heart failure. Jana graduated with her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas – HSC. Jana will be working closely with Dr. Paladugu, providing cardiac care to our patients.

Rehan Shah, MD, received his training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He has gained valuable experience by treating a very diverse population with vast pathology in the New York area. He currently serves as Medical Director on inpatient dialysis units, giving him firsthand knowledge and expertise in kidney disease and dialysis. He currently is founder and CEO of RenViva, a physician-owned and -led dialysis provider focused on bringing dialysis services to the home and on-site at SNFs. Most recently, Dr. Shah cofounded CardioRenal Therapeutics, LLC, to not only bring dialysis services to SNFs but to provide on-site cardiology and nephrology care.

Therese Merrill, our Nephrology Nurse Practitioner, is a board certified nurse practitioner with extensive experience in various realms of patient care, including nephrology, specialty practice, family practice, and critical care. Therese graduated with her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman’s University and maintains her certification in critical care. Therese will be working closely with Dr. Shah providing nephrology care to our patients.
